Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Description

 

Position Responsibilities
 
·        Supervise subcontractors and in house workers to ensure they are working safely and building per plans and specs
·        Daily record keeping that includes:
o       Daily reports
o       Quality Control Logs
o       Scheduling
o       Two Week Look Ahead Schedules
o       Submittal Logs
o       RFI’s
o       Safety Reports
o       As-Built Drawings
o       Purchase Orders and Change Order Logs
o       Record all subcontractors’ employees (name) and time that are on site.
·        Conduct and Participate in Weekly Safety meetings and daily inspections
·        Frequent communication with key points of contact on the jobsite and with the Project Manager
·        Review schedules, budgets, materials, personnel, and subcontractor performance
·        Complete the job and ensure that the Customer is satisfied
·        Submit Minutes from weekly meetings
·        Maintain job specific Purchase Order Logs
·        Responsible to Project Manager for Material Requests
·        Keep construction material purchases between two companies separate
·        Material subcontracting, in house electrical coordination, and project phasing per overall schedule and two week look ahead schedules
·        Customer notification of project shut downs at least 21 days in advance and off-hours for work
 
Education Requirements
 
High School Diploma, OSHA 30 Certified, Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certified, First Aid and CPR Certified 
 
Experience Requirements
 
Candidate will possess a minimum of five years experience in the commercial/industrial construction industry as a Superintendent.
 
·        Experience with commercial building TI, Federal Contracts (Navy, Army Corps, FAA, Air Force, Veterans Administration, etc), design-build, knowledge of the FARs and Prevailing Wage preferred
·        Significant experience in construction documentation
o       Daily reports, Two Week Look-Aheads, Scheduling, Quality Control Logs, Submittal Logs, RFI’s, Safety Reports, As Built Drawings, Punch List, Purchase Orders and Change Orders,
·        Ability to read and understand plans and specs
·        Ability to Interact with Customer
·        Management of subcontractors and in-house personnel
·        A Phenomenal record for jobsite safety
 
Results Expected
·      Job is on budget, on time and completed with zero accidents
·        All Documentation/Record Keeping current and up to date
·        The quality of the work meets the company’s standards of excellence
·        Solid Relationships are established with key points of contact on each jobsite
·        All subcontractors’ badges, insurance, OSHA certifications, and subcontracts are properly signed and executed
 
Necessary Office Requirements
 
The candidate will have the ability to move through the Microsoft Office programs such as, but not limited to:
·        MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
·        AutoCAD experience preferred.
