Job Title: Director of Business Development- Tampa FL
WIS International is a leading global provider of inventory and merchandising services. We are currently looking for a Director of Business Development in to join our Business Development team in the Southeastern U.S.. The position will be responsible for developing new clients for inventory and merchandising services with leading retailers and consumer package goods companies. The successful candidate with have a proven track record of success selling B2B services for large global service company and solid network of contacts across the target client base.
Ability to rapidly gain a deep understanding of our client’s technical and service requirements and interpret and communicate business needs to internal departments(IT, Operations and Finance) to insure customers receive compelling value that inspires them to develop long term business relationships.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively about the business, products and technical challenges, along with the ability to build and convey compelling value proposition.
Hands on approach that maintains availability to customers in and outside of regular business hours as needed. Ideal candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing market and client requirements while maintaining high level of composure.
Minimum of 25% of travel time required for client visitation.
Identify and prioritize new business prospects in assigned geographic territory by utilizing a variety of sources to discover and research prospective clients, then contact and develop relationships with the appropriate decision-makers within these companies.
Develop specific, concise sales plans with timetables for the top prospects to deliver assigned revenue goals.
Set annual sales targets for new customers by utilizing relationship with customer and outside resources.
Complete new account setup, including proposals, fee recommendations, account instructions and schedules by acting as liaison between new customer and appropriate departments within WIS International.
Provide timely and informative status reports on all prospects and competitive developments, via computer reporting programs as well as frequent communication with the Director of Operations.
Ensure timely and successful transition of new accounts to an Account Manager by working closely with the Account Management Department.
Develop exposure with businesses by professionally representing WIS at industry functions, including trade shows.
Execute all responsibilities by working within the approved financial budget.
Education: Normally requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or other related curriculum.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in B2B sales, preferably with experience in the service industry.
Experience in performing analysis in support of development of pricing proposals that deliver company return objectives.
Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with broad base of clients at multiple levels through past sales related positions.
Skill negotiator that is adept at creating win/win situations for both the client and the company through grasp and application of sound business principles.
Polished and professional demeanour and presentation skills.
Well developed network of potential clients.
Sound working knowledge and ability to utilize internal IT systems and all of Microsoft Suite to support job requirements.
Demonstrated track record of success in developing and executing sound sales plans to achieve assigned sales goals.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to self start with proven track record of delivering assigned revenue growth goals. Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills are required.
Ability to identify and develop prospects through a variety of sources.
Ability to effectively manage and organize work independent of frequent management involvement to ensure achievement of assigned sales goals.
Ability to relate well and in a professional manner with persons of all levels within an organization.
Ability to learn a variety of software well enough to handle required reporting without assistance.
