Opening for a full time, temporary Sr Custodian to join Cal Dining's Foothill location for two months.

Since this position is replacing an employee on leave, the temporary employee will not convert to career status for the duration of the leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispose of garbage and break down cardboard boxes. Clean trash containers and collection areas. Sweep, mop, buff, and vacuum floors in assigned areas. Wash pots, pans, and utensils and put clean items away. Operate dishroom equipment including dish machine, water vacuum, and potwashing machine. Set up tables and chairs in dining room. Check/resupply milk and soda machines. Serve as work leader for student workers.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a high volume kitchen/dining area.
• Ability to operate/maintain floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuum cleaners.
• Knowledge of chemicals used in cleaning.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures.
• Experience following directions related to job responsibilities and sanitation requirements.
• Must have basic English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and math skills related to the safe and efficient performance of the job.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.• Experience maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a high volume kitchen/dining area.
